Allergy & Asthma Services

Allergies & asthma are common issue in growing children.

Our clinic specializes in evaluations to help families understand their child's allergies & asthma.

We believe that allergies and asthma shouldn't hold your child back from being a kid.

Whether it’s dust, pollen, exercise, pets, or cold air triggering their symptoms, we partner with parents to create a plan that puts you in control—not the condition.

Custom Plans For Your Child & Family

Here’s what we’ll create together:

Daily Maintenance Plan – to reduce symptoms and prevent flare-ups

🚨 Rescue Plan – for what to do when symptoms suddenly worsen

🏫 School & Activity Plan – so teachers, coaches, and caregivers are always informed

💬 Parent Empowerment Tools – because when you understand the plan, you can confidently advocate for your child

Frontier's 3-Step Process

1) Evaluation

We begin with a comprehensive evaluation of your child's medical history, identifying specific triggers and symptom patterns, recognizing that each child is unique.

Our thorough, unrushed assessment aims to educate you about your child's condition, ensuring you leave with clear answers and a deeper understanding of how to help your child thrive.

2) Management Plans

Together, we'll develop a personalized management plan tailored to your child's lifestyle. This includes daily preventive measures, emergency response strategies, and guidance for school and extracurricular activities.

You'll gain confidence in managing various scenarios—at home, school, or elsewhere. Additionally, we'll provide written action plans to share with teachers, coaches, and caregivers, ensuring consistent support across all environments

3) Check-Ins

We maintain ongoing communication to adapt the management plan as your child develops and as seasonal factors influence their condition.

Our team is readily available via text or in-person visits to ensure continuous, effective support. Regular check-ins allow us to adjust strategies, acknowledge achievements, and promote your child's well-being.

Our Approach is Different

✔️ Whole-Family Partnership

We don’t just treat your child—we coach and equip you as the parent, every step of the way.

✔️ Proactive Over Reactive

We aim to prevent flare-ups before they start. But when they do happen, you’ll already have a clear step-by-step plan in place.

✔️ No More Guesswork

You’ll know what medication is for what situation, when to escalate care, and how to communicate with your child’s school and caregivers.

✔️ Freedom, Not Fear

The goal isn’t just to reduce symptoms—it’s to restore your child’s ability to participate fully in life without constant limitations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child has asthma or allergies—or both?

Many children have overlapping symptoms, like coughing, wheezing, or runny noses, and it can be hard to know what’s what. We start with a detailed evaluation to look at patterns, triggers, and family history so we can give you a clear diagnosis and direction.

What’s included in an asthma & allergy plan?

Each plan includes daily maintenance steps (like inhalers or medications), rescue instructions for flare-ups, and a written school/daycare plan. We also talk through lifestyle adjustments and provide guidance you can actually use day to day.

What is the cost of evaluation?

The cost for an allergy/asthma evaluation & management visit is $197. You can use your HSA card for the visit. Spirometry (breathing test) is needed in some cases and costs $50.

For cost comparison, a typical visit to an allergy or pulmonology office usually ranges from $240-$390 and spirometry is usually $70-110.

How soon can my child be seen?

We have appointments available within the next week.

Will my child grow out of this?

Some children do outgrow their symptoms, but others need ongoing management. Either way, we’ll help you understand your child’s unique situation and support you through each season and stage.

Do you offer allergy testing?

Yep! We’ll talk with you during the evaluation to decide whether allergy testing is needed. Sometimes we can manage symptoms without formal testing, but if it’s helpful, we’ll guide you through the process or refer to trusted specialists.

What if symptoms get worse after hours or on weekends?

We provide guidance for what to do in between visits and offer easy ways to reach us if things change. You’ll always know what to try first and when to escalate care—so you're not left guessing.

Can you help with school accommodations like inhalers or allergy action plans?

Absolutely. We create clear, school-friendly plans and are happy to coordinate directly with school nurses, teachers, and coaches so everyone is on the same page and your child is safe

Do you treat seasonal, food, or environmental allergies too?

Yes—we manage a wide range of allergies and tailor the plan based on your child’s specific triggers. Whether it’s pollen, pets, foods, or something else, we’ll help you take control.

Can you help even if we’ve seen specialists before?

Yes! Whether you're starting fresh or already have a diagnosis, we’ll meet you where you are. Sometimes it just takes the right plan and consistent support to make things finally feel manageable. We make it easy to have a "home" for your child's allergies & asthma so you're not calling multiple offices or waiting for voicemails and callbacks.

What if my child hates taking medications or using inhalers?

We’ll work with you to find the easiest, most comfortable way for your child to stay on track, and we offer coaching and tools to make it less stressful!

How often will we need follow-ups?

That depends on the severity and how well your child is responding to the plan—but we typically check in every few months or when the seasons change. We’re flexible and responsive, and we make it easy to get support when you need it.

We often check in and follow-up over text message or email to save you unnecessary trips to the office.

Do you do breathing tests in your office?

Absolutely! We use spirometry testing (those breathing tests where your child takes a deep breath in and then exhales into a tube) to look at lung function and monitor progress with treatments. We are PROS at getting children to cooperate with testing and have all the time & patience needed.

Can you coordinate with my child's regular doctor?

Yes! For those that are not members of our practice, we will send a report so your doctor is aware of the plan. We will take care of all medication refills so you don't have to play phone tag when you need a refill. Most parents just text us when they need a refill and let us know where to send their meds.
